Greg Law, PT, DPT, CFMT, Physical Therapist and Owner of Laws of Motion Physical Therapy

Meet Greg Law, PT, DPT, CFMT

Physical Therapist & Owner

Greg is originally from Illinois but made his way to Phoenix in 2011 to attend physical therapy school at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and a minor in supply chain management, then worked in sales and logistics in Cincinnati, Ohio. After four years in that industry, he realized it wasn't his calling. Following his own round of physical therapy after shoulder surgery, he developed a drive to help others the way he'd been helped, and returned to school to study physical therapy.

In 2009 he began prerequisite coursework at the University of Cincinnati and was accepted into PT school in 2011. During his time at Midwestern, he met several physical therapists who became mentors and steered him toward manual therapy — a discipline that holds a special place for Greg because it lets him directly help patients achieve their goals by correcting movement patterns.

After graduating, he moved to Dallas, Texas, to help open two clinics with Ideal Physical Therapy, where his clinic grew the fastest of the original five in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. In 2016 he moved back to the Valley of the Sun — not before meeting his future wife, Heather, in Texas. He joined Barrow Brain and Spine in 2016, and in 2018 was promoted to manage the Barrow Brain and Spine Ahwatukee outpatient clinic, guiding it through an acquisition and growing it from two therapists to four.

Greg completes roughly six continuing education courses a year with organizations like the Institute of Physical Art, the Barral Institute, the Titleist Performance Institute, and the Spinal Manipulation Institute. In 2018 he graduated with honors from the Institute of Physical Art's certification program, becoming a Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT).

Outside the clinic, Greg enjoys time with his growing family — he and his wife Heather welcomed their daughter Harper in July 2020 and their son Cooper in April 2022, and share their home with a miniature Australian Shepherd named Oliver. He also enjoys golf, basketball, hiking, weight training, and playing guitar.
