Physical Therapist & Owner — Pelvic Health & Prenatal/Postpartum Care
Heather first became interested in becoming a healthcare provider after undergoing multiple medical procedures in high school and experiencing firsthand the impact of working with providers who treated her as more than just a job. Since then, she's been driven to become a lifelong learner dedicated to providing exceptional, whole-body care that meets each client's individual needs.
Heather grew up in Colleyville, Texas, and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training in 2013. She went on to UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, graduating with honors in 2015. Following PT school, she began her career in an orthopedic/sports medicine private practice, Ideal Physical Therapy/ATI — where she met her husband, Greg, who persuaded her to move to Arizona. After two years there, Heather joined Barrow Brain and Spine in 2017, gaining critical experience working with patients with spine disorders, neurosurgical patients, and patients with chronic pain.
After having her daughter Harper in July 2020, Heather became acutely aware of the gaps in prenatal and postpartum care and the effect it had had on her own body. That experience launched her passion for pelvic health physical therapy, which deepened further after the birth of her son, Cooper, in April 2022. So much attention goes to making sure the baby is well cared for that a mother's own health is often overlooked — Heather is committed to changing that, so moms can enjoy every moment with their baby without being burdened by pain and injury.
Heather has additional training in trigger point dry needling (Spinal Manipulation Institute and Evidence in Motion), visceral and neural manipulation (The Barral Institute), functional manual therapy (Institute of Physical Art), and pelvic health (Herman & Wallace), along with a nutrition certification through Precision Nutrition. She attends at least four continuing education courses a year to keep deepening her expertise.
